Whee! Doing a stunt!

Hello, I blog!

I write with no particular theme in mind, because I am random like that.

All the colours of the rainbow

So I got myself a box of wooden colour pencils from Daiso – not because I needed them, but purely because they looked so pretty.

Wooden colour pencils.

I usually consider myself a practical person. But it is on rare occasions like this one where I end up buying stuff that I don’t really need just so that I can admire them. And yeah, they are really awesome to photograph too. It helps that everything at Daiso is only 2 buckeroos apiece.

I bought got a plain silver metal tin (from the same place) so that I can store the colour pencils. The pencils actually came in a nondescript brown box, but I thought they would look much nicer in the tin. Uh, oops. There I go again.

I really should stop stepping into Daiso. I usually end up walking out with stuff I don’t need.

Many apologies for the recent silence! I’ve recently started full-time work and it’s been nothing short of hectic. But I’m loving it much and as a result, unwittingly transformed myself back to the workaholic I am pretty much well-known for being, just because I like what I’m doing. (;

I promise myself to write more, because we still need to escape once in a while, don’t we?

    I love colored pencils, period. :) And who cares if you buy something that’s frivolous? As long as you’re not going into debt for it (and with colored pencils, I doubt you are.)

    Look, there’s a wooden colored pencil in the footer of your site! Haha you’re just conforming to yourself.

      I want watercolour pencils too – the type that turns into paint when you run a wet brush through ’em! Too bad I don’t have much time to play with them though, so I am leaving ’em at the store for now. Haha.

    The same thing happens to me whenever I step into Daiso. It’s that whole “it’s only $2 so let’s just get it” mentality. -.- Good thing they don’t have too many branches yet!

      Come August, there will be 9 Daiso stores in Singapore. It spells trouble for people like us. :P

    So what do you plan on doing with them? Coloring? Drawing? Looking at them fondly?

    Oh gosh, my memories of Daiso. I would blow endless SGD2.00 bills there because of their awesome trinkets. If I am not wrong, my room was filled with little statuettes and sculptures from that store.

    The colour pencils look amazing, by the way. They sort of remind me of the ones sold in Muji, because the pencil itself have the same coloured finish. =)
